The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapter
The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters is a nonprofit division of the The Well Armed Woman organization that organizes local groups of women around the country that meet monthly to practice, learn and grow as shooters. The motto of TWAW is to educate, equip and empower. Heritage Training and Shooting Center hosts TWAW meetings in Frederick, Maryland the third tuesday of every month from 6-8 pm.
The Western Maryland chapter of the Well Armed Woman is led by Rachel Zimmerman, HTSC Trainer and Firearm enthusiast, and Suzy Floyd, experienced firearm trainer. Heritage is proud to host The Well Armed Woman meetings and assist in empowering women to learn about personal protection.
Meetings typically consist of an hour long educational meeting and an hour of range time with the ladies. The educational portion topics are usually member chosen and have ranged from stop the bleed course to how to handle misloads in your firearm.
Membership dues are $50 annually which contributes to club operation fees as well as gets you a hat and member kit. You can register on the TWAW website for membership in our chapter or contact us for more information.
